The Return (Coming Soon)
As the fog of the dawn began to creep up the mountain in the distance, two sun rays began to creep forth and it slowly lifted itself up. Artakrax proudly stood atop Mount Everest, watching as the two suns began to gain their dominance above the Earth. On each of his shoulders stood two familiar figures. One the right, facing North, was his wife, Lagniappe.
The woman was dressed in a long blue robe that covered her flowing white gown. At her left shoulder, Artakrax, yet again, proudly wore his full dress uniform, this time with his chest emblazoned with medals and scrolls of his service. He never outgrew his sense of honor and loyalty to it.
Across from her stood his younger brother, Kystagos, who wore the same dress uniform as Artakrax with the exception of having a yellow sash tied around his left shoulder in commemoration of his rank. He too had the same medals that Artakrax wore. Once again though, he never let his duty cloud his sense of honor and duty. It was as much a part of him as his name.
As the two suns continued to creep towards the horizon, the fog parted, revealing the beautiful golden glow of the two suns. Lagniappe stretched out her arms and bowed towards the suns. As the suns reached their zenith, she turned to Artakrax.
“It is time to return to your duty, my husband,” Lagniappe said. “I will be waiting when you return.”
